Transfer Day in the EPL

Hey all… just a quick update because I will be making several today.

As I proudly wear my Gunners-Gear (no comments about last weekends match vs. MANUre) I feel a sense of, well, urgency is the best word I can use. If we can agree that Man United, Chelsea and Man City are all but locks for first through third place in the table, that leaves my beloved Arsenal, Tottenham, and Liverpool fighting for the final Champions League spot for next season. That does NOT bode well for me. Liverpool definitely look stronger under Kenny D along with Suarez (why the beep is he not in the starting lineup more consistently? I digress….). As far as Arsenal and Spurs go, they both seem to have a big Transfer Closing Day. I expect them to overpay, but sometimes it’s a necessary evil.

And for now, that’s the last word.

More on this site..

Hey all… Good morning.

Just wanted to give some more information about what this website is all about. When it is complete you will be able to see a main page which will have a feature blog, @lastwordonsport twitter feed, archived blog entries, a message board for all of our followers, a one-stop social networking hub, and most importantly links to our feature blogs.

I have lined up several bloggers already, who are already working on their first articles. From what I’ve heard so far I think you can expect some cutting edge, interesting and highly critical entries.

As far as timeframe goes, I anticipate the other bloggers to have been running by the weekend with the first articles coming by Sunday.

Stay tuned…should be a bumpy ride…but in a good way.

And that is the last word.

Welcome Message

I subscribe to an inordinate number of blogs on a variety of sports, all of which are outstanding by the way.  But the difficulty in navigating between so many of them has caused some frustration.  My idea was to create a website that can eliminate the need to jump from page to page, blog to blog, by bringing you what I feel are interesting, informative and  though-provoking sports bloggers who will cover all major sports (eventually).  With such a wide spectrum of topics and interesting personalities covering them, I am sure you will find the conversations engaging.  We look forward to hearing from you, and hope you will come to enjoy the blogs we provide.

And that is the last word.
